Hitman 3 Review: An Excellent Conclusion For The World Of Assassination Trilogy

The Agent 47 adventure reboot that began in 2016 is drawing to a close ending. The “ World of Assassination ” trilogy concludes with a third episode soberly titled Hitman 3 which follows in the footsteps of its predecessors. For nearly five years, IO Interactive Studios have been working to return to the roots of the " Hitman " franchise, the meticulous and thoughtful murder, and leave the action in its simplest device in the locker room. Will this video game's with the most formidable assassin able to end his own story with panache? That's what we will find out in this game review. THE KILLER The script has only very rarely been a central part of the Hitman experience. The story was then just a pretext to tie the missions together, while Agent 47 was generally content to chain contracts. With the " World of Assassination " trilogy, Danish studios IO Interactive focus on the story of a hit man seeking emancipation and revenge against the Providence Agency

MXGP 2020 Review: Great Sensations On PS5

Milestone Interactive has not been unemployed at the end of the last decade, synonymous with the end of the console generation. Between Ride , MotoGP , Monster Energy Supercross, and MXGP , the Milanese studio has produced more than a dozen titles in 3 years since 2018 (!). I was impatiently awaiting the first baby adapted to a next-gen console, I am talking about the brand new PS5 and its DualSense controller. 2021 offers us this first draft with motocross and MXGP 2020 , already published on PC and old-gen mid-December. In fact, this is the sixth episode dedicated to the MXGP championship, fifth in five years, the latter can face some obstacles despite a real feeling of technical progress over time. Developed each season with little time between each title, stagnation lurks and could stain the new beast from Sony. I was also expecting a smooth technical transition first and some surprises in the content, quite dull in the last installments. A BRAND NEW ENGINE CALLED PS5 And from t

Atelier Ryza 2 Review, A Worrying Shift For The Series

With no less than half a million copies of Atelier Ryza shipped worldwide, I managed to give a critical size to the latest from that series. But great success does not come without great responsibility. The first having departed from many totems of the franchise, I was entitled to expect a certain number of investments to fill the gaps. but, It is not the case. The first thing that I hope very much by starting Atelier Ryza 2 is to finally be rid of the hopelessly candid atmosphere of the first game. Unfortunately, it's worse. I begin Ryza's new adventure when she receives a mysterious black egg. Left to perfect her alchemist skills in the capital, she thus attends the birth of a mysterious little creature called Fy. In parallel, Ryza reunites with Tao, his childhood friend. A model student in the history of antiquity, he gathered all the rumors and legends of the surroundings. The call of adventure is felt and the two rush into the ruins and other lost civilizations of the re

Worms Rumble Review: A Battle Royale That Deposits But With a Little Weak Content PC PS4 PS5

In 1990, a young computer store worker, Andy Davidson, took advantage of his free time to program a tank fighting game. To stand out from the competition, and after discovering the Lemmings ' animations, the boy transforms his project and imagines a fight between worms. The concept would eventually evolve into Total Wormage before Team 17 studio founder Martyn Brown was won over by the idea and decided to make it one of the canonical works in his catalog: Worms . This Rumble episode is also timely to celebrate the twenty-five years of the license and take it in a surprising direction, far from its turn-based origins. In its early days, Worms was a cross between Lemmings and Cannon Fodder , mixing action and thinking, in a 2D environment. Very quickly, the title stood out with its pixel art characters, pervasive humor, and twisting animations. For years, the Team 17 team kept that feeling until they brought together the best of the license in a cult episode: Worms Armageddon (of

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Review: The Ultimate Competitive Puzzle Game?

Puyo Puyo Tetris , first of the name, made the bet to combine two of the most effective and popular puzzle games of the video game for an explosive mix. If the formula turned out to be solid, it was hard to see what new features this second part would bring. Should the owners of the first episode go back to the cash register?  Puyo Puyo Tetris is the amazing marriage between two luminaries of the puzzle game. Two games whose logic and design perfection give rise to frenzied games between the participants. We will obviously not do you the affront to explain the principle of Tetris , but let's come back to the opposite.  Puyo Puyo 2 asks the player to line up or overlap 4 small blobs of the same color to make them disappear and thus earn points. All the salt of this title is that the combos are essential. You can't get a decent score or inflict significant damage on your opponent without making 3 or 4 convincing little critters drop. These playful foundations are as exhilaratin

WRC 9 Review: A next-gen version under the sign of the DualSense

If the season of the World Rally Championship has been violently disrupted by the health crisis, Kylotonn has not let go and offers his official annual iteration of the competition. WRC 8 was brilliant with its playability and its new career mode, we obviously expect this new WRC 9 to do better on this PC version (via the Epic Game Store), PS4, and Xbox One which was scheduled for release on September 3 on old -gen.  Nacon and Kylotonn were already on deck in July to work on the next-gen versions of WRC 9 , with ambitions on the features of the latest Sony and Microsoft-branded consoles. No promises on a game overhaul, but on DualSense and SSD performance. Something promised, something due? BIG EFFORT ON DUALSENSE, NO GRAPHIC GAP ON NEXT-GEN Available this Thursday, December 10 on PS5 and Xbox Series X, the new version of WRC 9 decked out in Smart Delivery did not stun me at all, far from it, and is really not very far from the bodywork shown last summer. The main thing to remembe

PHOGS! Review - A nice puzzle game that stretches too much

The first game from Bit Loom Games (a team whose members can be counted on the fingers of one hand), PHOGS! presents itself as a rather original puzzle game by its concept and its bias to offer a fully cooperative adventure. Now let's see what the title is worth. Please note that this review was made with the use of the Sony PlayStation 5 version using the backward compatibility feature. Most of the time, the adventure was a co-op, but the solo was also tested during my 8 hours of play. One doggo, two doggo? PHOGS! makes you play two characters, or rather one, well, no, two, well ... in short. You take control of two dog heads that share a single body with no actual scenario. In fact, you will simply go from thematic level to thematic level in which it will be necessary to accomplish various objectives to be able to move on to the next one. The title thus finally goes to the essentials by focusing on pure gameplay, even if the coating adds a little extra that will appeal to youn

Haven Review: A gentle exploration

In  Haven , Yu and Kay fled their planet to live out their supposedly forbidden story. The young couple then findsthemselves propelled on Source, a land that welcomes life, but seems virgin of all civilization. At least that's what they believe at the start of the adventure, but they will quickly discover that this fragmented land has been explored long before them. Faced with the dangers, they will have to learn to adapt themselves. JOURNEY UNDER ACID The starting point of the adventure is not original since very quickly the game asks us to sift through the different areas of the planet in order to find resources to repair the ship. This is something we are used to in space exploration video games. Nevertheless, the title surprises with its artistic direction. The bias of cell shading and bright colors does not leave you indifferent. And what about the introduction, which features the couple in an unforgettable animation sequence! The movements are reminiscent of those of a Journe

Destiny 2, Beyond the Light Review: An Acclaimed Expansion With Unforgettable Backgrounds

A year after Shadow Bastion , which launched the beginnings of major advances in the universe of Destiny , Bungie  reveals the first chapter of a trilogy of its expansions, Beyond the Ligh t, by signing a surprising adventure, but not without reproach. When we know the bitter taste left in the mouth by The Iron Lords , the third expansion of the first Destiny , say that the pressure on the shoulders of Bungie was great for the release of Beyond the Light , third expansion of Destiny 2 , is a no-brainer. It was all the more so after the revelations of Shadow Bastion , and its latest season, that of The Arrival , which then plunged players into the depths of Darkness , embracing a past hitherto forgotten. In addition, the studio has carefully undertaken for several months the preparation of the players for a session of answers, to the questions that some have been asking for sometimes six years. A monster pressure also, not helped by an unprecedented health situation which necessarily ch
